Gossamer Blue: Our Easter

Good morning! Today I have one more layout to share with you featuring the March Gossamer Blue kits and this is one of my favorite two-page layouts I have created in awhile. This month I created a tone-on-tone layout with pops of bright color for spring. We love celebrating Easter by coloring Easter eggs, going through our baskets, going to church and eating a big Sunday dinner and then following up with an Easter egg hunt in our backyard. This layout highlights our entire celebration.

I found a set of Easter eggs in the Silhouette online store and cut them out with kraft cardstock. I created the tone-on-tone effect by using kraft cardstock as my background. I used a variety of patterned paper (mostly from the main kit) on the back of the cut outs on the eggs. I love the gold foil paper in this month’s kits and used that as well on one of the stripes and the polka dots. I embellished with wood veneer and chipboard butterflies, stickers, twine and brads.

I printed a couple of my photos smaller than wallet size and stacked them on a 3×4 card from the Life Pages kit.

Finally, I also found a fun Easter egg border in the Silhouette store and cut it out with kraft cardstock. I backed all of the eggs with patterned papers as I did on the first page and embellished the flower eggs with enamel dots and brads.

Hope you all have a great day!

Webster's Pages: Sweet Giggling Girls

Good morning! Today I have a new layout to share for Webster's Pages featuring the new Sprinkled with Love collection by Allison Kreft. I just adore this collection with its bright colors and fun embellishments! We had a little Valentine's Day photo shoot a while back and I captured this photo of the girls that I just love.

I layered doilies, transparencies and journaling cards at the top of my photo.

I used one of the new wood veneer cards and backed it with a heart transparency. Then I cut down a new paper straw, tied twine around it and strung a heart charm to dangle from the straw.  The alphabet stickers are a mix and match of American Crafts and Webster's Pages.

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope your day is great! :)

Webster's Pages: Hello Beautiful Books

Good morning! I haven't shared projects for Webster's Pages in a while so I hope to do that over the next couple days. Allison Kreft's Sweet Notes collection is a favorite of mine and I decided to create this layout about my renewed love of books. I have always been a reader and over the past 6 months or so really got back into it again.

I love the book patterned paper and the library card - they were perfect for this layout!

I love using stickers to mix and match my titles and add little captions!

Have a great day! Thanks for stopping by!

Gossamer Blue: This Girl

Happy Friday! It is finally looking like spring around here and I LOVE it. What a long, dreary and cold winter. My girls are also on spring break from preschool. We don't have anything major planned and will most likely stick around close to home. I'm hoping if there is a nice afternoon we might go to the zoo. I really need to do some cleaning and organizing at home as well. It will be great to have a break!

Today's layout features Lily - her outgoing personality is what we love most about her. I took these photos of her in her Christmas dress and pulled out the pretty pale pink, cream, white and gold in this month's Gossamer Blue kits.

The 4x6 card at the top was in the Life Pages themed add-on and I accented a few of the polka dots with clear sequins.

The trim is from Webster's Pages and I ruffled it on the page for more texture. I really love the POW glitter paper in gold from American Crafts. It cuts so easily on the Cameo.

Thanks for stopping by today! I have more work I want to share with you next week including my two-page layout for this month. Enjoy your weekend!

Gossamer Blue: Love Notes

Good morning! Today I have another layout to share with the March Gossamer Blue kits. I created this one of the girls working on their valentines for their preschool class.

Gossamer Blue kits have so many great embellishments - sticky notes, brads, tags, enamel hearts, wood veneer, stickers. I just love putting together my layouts with so many options.

I love that heart wood veneer card from Webster's Pages!

On this layout, I used several of the exclusive Life Pages 3x4 and 4x6 cards - just another way to show you that these cards can be used on your scrapbook pages if you don't do pocket scrapbooking.

Thanks for visiting today! :)

Gossamer Blue: Preschool Pajama Day

Good morning! Hope you all had a great weekend! It's supposed to be a glorious 63 degrees here today. So excited for spring! Today I have a layout to share that I created using the March main kit from Gossamer Blue. The girls recently had a pajama day at preschool so I decided to create the layout focused on that.

I used the circle cut file and then filled in the circles with more patterned paper and stickers.

The gold foil paper cuts so well on the Cameo - love it!

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope your day is warm and springlike as well!

Gossamer Blue: So Sweet

Good morning! Today I have one last layout to share with you using the February Gossamer Blue kits. Be sure to snatch up the March kits as they are sure to go very quickly! The girls created cards for their daddy at Sunday school for Father's Day last year and I snapped photos on my phone of each of them with their dad to create this layout.

I cut out the heart background using my Cameo and then backed each heart with patterned paper and embellished. I even got a little artsy and brought out some white paint so I could subdue the busy background a little bit.

I layered patterned paper with transparencies and used a little clothespin at the top.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you have a great day! :)

Gossamer Blue: Love Their Ideas

Happy Friday! Today I have a layout to share for Gossamer Blue using the February main kit only. I love the exclusive hexagon cut file in the main kit this month and showcased it here. One day I caught the girls lining up their animals and blankets on the set of little stairs we have going up to all of our bedrooms.

The exclusive printables usually have some great journaling spots included!

This month's kits had a lot of great Elle's Studio die-cuts, tags and wood veneer!

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you all have a great weekend!

Gossamer Blue: It's Adventureland

Good morning! Hope you all had a great weekend! I'm sitting here watching it snow for the millionth time this winter and wishing desperately for spring! I am so over winter!

Today I have a new layout to share for Gossamer Blue and the February kits. This month the team was able to work with sketches from PageMaps and I had the double page sketch. One of our family’s favorite summer activities is to visit a very fun theme park in our town. The girls absolutely love going on all the rides!

I love to make sketches my own and I changed up a few things using the sketch. I had a few more photos to use than what the sketch allowed so I sized them to 2.5″ and placed them on the left of the larger photo on the first page and another square photo on the second page.

I love using the transparency frames as places to rest my photos. The Life Pages cards are also great for photos on layouts!

This month’s kits are full of great embellishments! I used some of the exclusive printables, flair and puffy stickers.

Finally, one of the major ways I changed up the sketch was to change the focal point. The sketch had a large circle covering both of the pages. Instead, I made a design using 1/4″ strips of patterned papers and machine stitching. The design also covers both pages.

Thanks for stopping by today! I'll share a couple more pages with the February Gossamer Blue kits tomorrow!

American Crafts: Valentine's Day Blog Hop & Giveaway!

 photo ACBlogHopLogo.jpg

Good morning and welcome to the American Crafts Valentine's Day 2014 Blog Hop! Members of the American Crafts design team created projects to celebrate this holiday of love! I made this layout of two of my favorite valentines. I used black cardstock as the background to help the pink and white pop off the page. The chalkboard frame tags are part of the new DIY Shop collection.

I placed some of my favorite pink and white patterned papers inside the frames and then embellished with washi tape, stickers and die-cuts.

I layered a Dear Lizzy flower, epoxy sticker and Amy Tangerine brad.

What's a blog hop without a giveaway?! Just leave a comment on my blog post today sharing what you are doing to share the love with your favorite valentines. I'll post the random winner of these great American Crafts stamps next Friday, February 21st.

American Crafts: XOXO

Good morning! It's Valentine's week on the American Crafts blog and I have a couple of pink projects to share with you today. I used a variety of collections to complete this layout and card including some embellishments from the new Amy Tangerine Plus One and Dear Lizzy Daydreamer collections.

I cut out the hearts using my Cameo and then backed them with my favorite pink patterned papers. I also machine stitched around the hearts (which was a little tricky to do).

I added some flair and puffy hearts (all are new) and I love those typewriter keys letters!

While I was at it, I reduced the size of the heart cuts and made a smaller version for this card. I kept everything the same as far as placement of the papers and then added a little flair for the sentiment.

Have a great day! Thanks for stopping by!

American Crafts: Snow Much Fun

Good morning! Today I have a couple of new projects to share for American Crafts using their brand new, just released collections. The first is a layout using the Amy Tangerine Plus One collection. I love the combination of bold and subtle patterns in this one and the bright colors are fun! Our girls received new sleds from Santa for Christmas and we were able to try them out right away. We have some very small sledding hills just in our backyard that are perfect for toddlers!

I used my Cameo to cut out the snowflakes from several of the water-colored patterned papers.

I used a stitching template to make the teal circle and punched a circle and embellished with a brad.

The frame was cut out using a new thin metal die - these are new to the American Crafts family and a great addition! I have a Big Shot for dies.

I also created this month with the Dear Lizzy Daydreamer collection and made this sweet little "never grow up" card.

The puffy heart stickers are a favorite embellishment!

Thanks for stopping by today! I'll be part of a blog hop on Monday for Gossamer Blue so be sure to stop by then. Have a great weekend!
