Good morning! It was a snow day around here yesterday and we stayed
put all day! It was nice to have our normal Wednesday activities
canceled and spend a little time at home. We worked on some Valentine's
crafts in the afternoon and that was a fun way to spend the day.
Today I have another layout for Emma's Paperie
and for our technique challenge this month - typography. One of my
favorite elements to add to my layouts is the title and I always try to
mix up my alphabet stickers to spell it out. I created a two-page layout
with a lot of photos of one of our favorite activities at the Iowa
State Fair - Little Hands on the Farm. I bought October Afternoon's
"Farm Girl" collection with these photos in mind.
I
also took a bunch of leftover alphabet stickers and placed them
randomly on another piece of kraft cardstock that I trimmed down and
placed at the top of the layout.
Here's
a look at the title...October Afternoon, Rusty Pickle and Pebbles
alphabet stickers. Alphabet stickers are one product I never really get
rid of, and I store them by color.
Love the new banners October Afternoon has been including in their collections.
Just a funassortment of goodies - a journaling card, tidbit, and miscellany tickets.
For a complete supply list, please visit the Emma's Paperie blog here.
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you enjoyed the two-page inspiration!

emma's paperie: so amazing
Happy Wednesday! Today I have another layout to share for Emma's Paperie and the sketch this month. Sherry created a card sketch with the oval as the main design element. I took the oval frame from the "On Trend" collection by Crate Paper and used that to house my title and built the layout around it. I love these photos my sister took of the four of us this fall. We used the top one as part of our Christmas card.
Here I layered some tags and brads...
The fabric flowers in this collection are really fun and add a lot of texture.
I also really like the vellum garland - still on a big vellum kick these days.
For a complete supply list, please visit the Emma's Paperie blog here.
Thanks for stopping by today! We are in the midst of a snowstorm around here. It's been so grey and dreary the past few days that I seem to have no motivation to anything other than what I absolutely have to do. Where are you, spring?! :)
Have a great day!

emma's paperie: adventureland
Good morning! Today I have a layout to share for Emma's Paperie and the color challenge this month. One of our most favorite activities last summer was visiting Adventureland, which is a pretty fun amusement and water park. They actually have a lot of great rides for toddlers so this was our first year there and the girls had an absolute ball! We are definitely going to make it an annual summer trip! I put together a collage of our favorite photos. We only had our phones with but we were still able to capture some great memories. The Midway collection from October Afternoon was perfect for my photos!
I needed a little white space on the layout so I simply covered up a section of the stars patterned paper with vellum. It subtly gave me white space so the layout wasn't so busy with all the photos.
I also put together a collage of die-cuts and stickers as my main embellishment cluster.
Love the bright, fun colors in this collection with the neutral gray! For a complete supply list, visit the Emma's Paperie blog here. Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Simple Stories: Perfect Snow Day
Good morning! Today I have a
layout to share using the Sn@p collection from Simple Stories and my Scor-Pal.
The Simple Stories team has been sharing Scor-Pal projects on the blog all week long. Winter is typically a very grey time of year and I know that I long for
bright, happy colors. We had a blizzard here right before Christmas and I
captured some of our snow fun on Instagram. My girls have really bright
coats and snowsuits so I scrapbooked these images with the Sn@p
collection to play up the bright colors.
I used my Scor-Pal to score a piece of white cardstock at 1" x 2" and then trimmed the page slightly so I could use the diagonal stripe behind the cardstock for a pop of color.
I cut some patterned paper to it inside the scored area for more color against the stark white and placed a doily behind my photo block for a little more texture.
I also created a rosette using the Scor-Pal and embellished the center with a Sn@p label sticker and a cut-out element from patterned paper.
Thanks for visiting today! I'm hoping to get away tomorrow to go antique shopping with my little sister. Have a great weekend! :)

webster's pages: You Love Grandma
Good morning! I have been trying to create some layouts for the girls about relationships with family members and one I hadn't done yet was my mom, their Grandma Julie. These photos were taken at Easter last spring. Grandma Julie is the "tootsie roll" grandma - she always has a treat for them! :) I used the "Composition & Color" collection by Allison Kreft for Webster's Pages.
I love the little quick picks embellishments too - that are an inexpensive way to dress up your pages (here I used a stick pin on top of punched heart).
I also tucked in some doilies here and there and the wood veneer frames are by Studio Calico. I love the camera washi tape and used a little bit here at the top of the main photo.
I also used a mini bag as a photo mat for the smaller photo and dressed it up with a length of knotted ribbon from the collection.
Thanks for visiting today! I'll be back tomorrow with a ScorPal project for Simple Stories! :)

Webster's Pages: Ready, Set, Go!
Good morning! So, what do you all think of the little blog make-over I gave this place over the weekend? I'm still working on adding blog links on the side but I'm pretty happy with the new look. Love the clean and simple design and pretty colors. So me! I used one of the self-install templates here.
Today I have a clean and simple layout to share with you using the New Beginnings collection from Webster's Pages. I love the pretty, spring colors in this collection - perfect for these photos of our annual Easter egg hunt in our backyard.
Brandin includes various characters on the alphabet sticker sheets and the little flowers were on a set from while ago. Love these between each word in the title!

Emma's Paperie: Christmas Magic & Very Merry
Good morning! Today I have a couple of layouts to share for Emma's Paperie. The first layout features Crate Paper's "Sleigh Ride" collection. The design team focused on hexagons and here is my clean and simple take. The photo is of the girls waiting to ride the Christmas train at the mall this year.
I actually turned my hexagons so they were more like honeycombs and layered punched vellum, patterned paper and sequins.
For a complete supply list, please visit the Emma's Paperie blog here.
For my next layout, I used the "Aspen Frost" collection by Basic Grey to highlight this photo of my mom and dad with all of their grandchildren at Christmas this year.
I love all of the embellishments Basic Grey includes with their collections - chipboard, stickers, garlands, envelopes - there is quite a variety!
For a complete supply list and instructions on how to make this layout, please visit the Emma's Paperie blog here.
I meant to post more this week but I managed to become even sicker after my last post. After an ER visit very late Monday night and lots of sleep Tuesday night, I'm feeling back to myself again and plan to spend the weekend working on some assignments and things around the house.
Have a great weekend! :)

I love having a snow day from school. :)
Carrie, I'll be in touch about getting your winnings to you! :)
Today I have a new layout and card to share for Emma's Paperie's color and sketch challenges for December. I used the "Make it Merry" collection by October Afternoon for this layout of the girls by the Christmas tree and brought in some gold accents with a gold lame misted doily, gold sequins, and gold thickers.
Sweet and simple and lots of layering bits here and there....
Please visit the Emma's Paperie blog here for a complete supply list.
And here's the card I did for the sketch challenge with the "Aspen Frost" collection from Basic Grey. Lots of circles here with a touch of seam binding.

Elle's Studio: January Gallery
Happy Friday! I have one more Elle's Studio gallery to share with you and this one is full of Christmas inspiration! I have had such a great time working Elle's Studio products and you will definitely see a lot more from me in the future!
For my first layout, I used the Kringle & Co. collection by American Crafts to scrapbook these photos of our visit to Santa this year. I chose a bunch of my favorite photos and printed them out to fit on the 4x6 journaling cards.
Then, I embellished here and there with tags from Elle's Studio, ribbon and die-cuts from American Crafts.
Thanks for stopping by! And thanks again to Elle for the opportunity to design with your beautiful products for the past 6 months!
Have a great weekend everybody!

For my next layout, I captured a moment on Christmas Eve that is so precious to me. Technically, it's not the greatest photo, but I just love the girls' faces as we lit candles to sing Silent Night. So, so sweet! I used the "Royal Christmas" collection from Webster's Pages for this one...a little more elegant feel here.
Love, love, love that candle cameo! Perfect fit for my topic!
And finally, I also created a card with the Kringle & Co. collection and a few tags. Lots of layering here...

Simple Stories: CHA Projects
Good morning! I am so excited to share these layouts with you today as they feature Simple Stories' new collections for Winter CHA. Simple Stories truly knocked it out of the park! And they have a lot of great new embellishments to add to their collections that I can't wait to work with!
For my first layout today, I created a two-page layout using the new 24/Seven collection. We had a big birthday party with family this summer to celebrate my grandpa's 79th birthday. I had a lot of photos so I printed several of my favorites to 4x6 and the rest are sized smaller. (This layout was also featured for the two-page sketch at PageMaps this month.)
I love the arrows in this collection and couldn't resist using a strip on the left-hand page.
For my second layout to share today, I created an Easter-themed layout using Vintage Bliss. My daughters had funny bunny glasses in their Easter baskets last year so I made that the title of the layout. I just love the pretty pastels in this collection paired with bright white and woodgrain.
I love the faux Polaroid options in this collection. I printed out some photos as squares and adhered them with foam adhesive.
And finally here is a layout with Urban Traveler. I love the bright primary colors in this collection paired with the map prints. We went on our first family vacation this summer and the girls were really excited to sleep in a hotel!
This collection is full of arrows and I used a bunch of them on this layout - lots of sticker arrows and some cut out of patterned paper.
The luggage stack is a sticker! Isn't it great!?
Thanks for stopping by today! I'm really looking forward to creating more with these collections!
