It was such an honor to be asked to guest design and I absolutely fell in love with the rich, fall colors of their October kit. The combination of products and textures is just beautiful!

I'll be able to share everything with you on October 1st. I created 4 layouts and 2 cards and definitely could have kept going! :)

Here's a look at Gossamer Blue's October Lookbook - which I think is an awesome way to show sneaks and share announcements!

Emma's Paperie: Delight in Your Children

Good morning! At Emma's Paperie, the design team recently shared projects using images we were inspired by on Pinterest. I came across this image of doilies and used it as inspiration for my layout.

Pinned Image

I love these photos of Glen and the girls that we took on Father's Day and I went straight to Proverbs (29:17) for a title idea. I also asked Glen for his ideas about what it means to "delight in your children" and then interpreted that for my journaling. The sweet "Paper Cottage" collection by Basic Grey is just full of doilies so I used the collection on my layout. I love creating a layout every year for Mother's Day and Father's Day and having both of us reflect on our parenting over the past year. It's usually pretty humbling! ;)

For a complete supply list, please visit the Emma's Paperie blog here.

And, hey you are in luck stopping by today because this weekend only there is a sale at Emma's Paperie!

Have a great weekend! I'm busy getting ready for the annual fall Mom's of Multiples sale! I love cleaning out and bringing some great bargains back in! :)

American Crafts: Spotlight

Good morning! Yesterday was my day to be spotlighted on the American Crafts blog so I wanted to share my first layouts here as well as some detail shots. For my first layout, I used the Amy Tangerine "Sketchbook" collection. The girls LOVE drawing with sidewalk chalk, but they call it 'sidechalk walk'. I had to change the name in my title because that is something I want to remember. They will draw and play forever and they always ask for us to draw shapes - most requested is a heart and then we draw circles linked together for them to jump through.

And on this second layout, I used the "Shoreline" collection for this spring layout. This one was super simple (even for me - ha!). There's just something about daffodils that gets me excited for spring and this spring was even warmer than usual.

Thanks for stopping by today! My allergies are killing me - I don't think I have ever had them this bad. I feel a little better today than yesterday but good grief - I was miserable over the weekend. I have been working on a bunch of projects that I haven't been able to share yet but I do have some things ready to go yet for this week. And operation attack our basement had another two days of success over the weekend - thanks to grandpa and grandma for taking the girls again. I am bound and determined to get it done!

Simple Stories: The Great Apple Catastrophe

Good morning! Today I have a layout to share with one of my family's favorite fall adventures = the apple orchard! Last year, the girls had a ball picking apples and filling our bag. And then they took the full bag and tipped it over - apples went everywhere! I chose to size my photos to 2.25" squares so I could use 6 of them to tell the story of "The Great Apple Catastrophe" using Simple Stories' "Harvest Lane" collection. (We're planning another apple orchard adventure this week but sadly, we won't be picking any apples - a late, spring frost limited the apple crop this year).

I love the little faux "washi tape" stickers in this collection and chose three to place at the top of my photos.

I also punched some apples out of patterned paper to place between the photos.

As always, I like to create a card while I have my supplies out and this time I made the most of my supplies. I used the negatives of the apple punches I made for the layout.

Webster's Pages: The True Meaning

Good morning! I didn't mean for a week to go by before I posted again but it's been the strangest week. The weather is changing and it's done a number on me/us. I think we're all suffering from some allergy issues so instead of our normal activities this week we have been laying low and taking it easy = fine by me! Hopefully we'll be right back at it next week!

Today I have a layout to share with the brand new (and just shipping) "Royal Christmas" collection from Webster's Pages. Last year, we bought the girls a Little People nativity set to play with. I tried to find one the year before but they were sold out by the time I decided to get one. The girls LOVED this set. We kept it by the Christmas tree to keep the focus on it alone and didn't mix it with their other toys. The girls played with it often and understood the role of each piece/character. While we do enjoy Santa Claus and other aspects of Christmas, it's important to our family to make sure the real meaning of Christmas is celebrated first and foremost.

I recently bought this Martha Stewart star punch and used it a couple places on the layout - the red just pops behind it! :)

I love the new trim with the gold chain - that color of green is lovely!

The mini message sticker was exactly what I needed for this layout!

Thanks for stopping by today and have a great weekend!

Anna, please contact me at cornellgj(at)yahoo(dot)com and I'll get your information over to Stamp Anna Designs and you can choose your seam binding!

Today I have a new layout to share using the Palm Beach collection from Webster's Pages. Webster's is starting a new monthly "Sprinkles Craft Box" that you just have to check out. It's a little indulgence just for you each month and the price is AMAZING - $10.00 and that INCLUDES shipping! I can't wait to see October's box. This week the design team is focusing on the little things that make us happy so I decided that since summer is basically over (sad face) I would focus on my happiest summer memories. We truly had the most amazing summer together! We had were equal parts busy and had some great relaxation. I created a collage of my favorite instagram photos and then offset them with resin flowers and punched vellum circles.

It was quick and easy and I think it might be something I do for each season! Thanks for stopping by today! More to come soon and have a great weekend! :) We're having our first child free overnight on Saturday in more than two years! I am so excited! But don't be too jealous - we're cleaning up our basement and maybe (hopefully) sneaking in a movie! :)

Elle's Studio: September Gallery

Good morning! If you have stopped by to enter my giveaway to Stamp Anna Designs please visit my post here. (You have one more day to enter!)

Today I have projects to share for the September gallery at Elle's Studio. This month I got to work with the new "The Sweet Life" and calendar tags and they were awesome to work with!

For my first layout, I was instantly drawn to the "days of the week" tags and wanted to come up with a layout using them. Earlier this summer, I had snapped a photo of the girls on my phone as they were walking to church. Our Sunday mornings are pretty important to us - in fact, "church" was one of the girls' first words. :) On that particular Sunday, the girls were looking pretty in their Sunday best and were holding hands as we went through the parking lot (a family rule) so I hurried and snapped the photo. I used the August Noel Mignon kit for the layout.

I love the phrases Elle uses on her tags = perfect for layouts!

Both of the girls are very expressive but this particular layout focuses on Miss Nora. We recently had a photo shoot with the girls at my mom and dad's and these were some of Nora's candids. I chose the pink tags from "The Sweet Life" collection and then incorporated other bits of pink, yellow and grey.

The seam binding is from Stamp Anna Designs

I used an instagram frame from Heidi Swapp and just sized my photo to fit.

I also created a card and layered 3 of Elle's Studio tags.

Thanks for stopping by today! We're getting into a fall routine this week. We started storytime and Awana's at church yesterday and this morning is our first day of Tumble Tots at the YMCA. We try to keep busy around here or else I might go a little cuckoo if we are cooped up in the house. :)

Stamp Anna Designs Giveaway!

Good morning! Today I have a fabulous giveaway to share but before I get to that I want to show you some projects. I have long been a fan of seam binding (which is basically crinkled up thin ribbon). It adds color and pretty texture to projects. I recently bought some seam binding to try from Stamp Anna Designs. She has the most beautiful, bright vivid colors and they are put together in sets of two or three. Anna asked if I would like to try her new colors out that she just added to her shop and of course, I said yes! So today's projects are featuring Anna's beautiful seam binding!

On this first layout, I tied the cream seam binding into a double bow to accent my main photo.

For my second layout, I needed a pop of yellow so I tied some seam binding into a simple bow around my journaling tag.

And on this card, the seam binding is almost the star of the show. The vivid red was tied into a double bow around the patterned paper panel on the card.

***Note: Tomorrow I'll share more about the last two projects (with detail shots and information on the tags from Elle's Studio).

I'm a huge fan of Anna's seam binding. It's so easy to add color to projects. I love how she has the colors grouped together and her colors for fall and winter are so pretty! Be sure to check out her shop - her prices are so reasonable too! She also has tea stained tags and other tags in her shop as well.

Now for the giveaway - Stamp Anna Designs has generously offered up a $15.00 gift certificate to one of my blog readers. All you have to do to enter is leave a comment here and I'll draw a winner on Friday. You'll get your choice of products!

Thanks for stopping by today! And don't forget to check out her pretty products and leave a comment!
