Hello friends! Sorry for the lack of posts this past week but I have been super crazy busy sorting through (baby and toddler clothes - sniff, sniff) for the moms of multiples garage sale this coming weekend and working on some other projects in between. I will be so happy when this week is over!
But, today I have a new layout to share with you using the brand new "Hip Hip Hooray" collection by Pebbles. Aren't the colors just scrumptious?! These photos are from the girls' birthday last year where one of their fun gifts was a turtle sandbox from grandpa and grandma.
I created a grid design and then punched a few starbursts for a tone-on-tone effect. I love the little pinwheel toothpick flags in the collection!
And check out the banner flags...I love the mix of shapes. I put a few sequin candy dots on the banner pieces.
For a complete supply list, please check out the Pebbles blog here.
Have a fabulous day! :)

Emma's Paperie: Reflection
I absolutely fell in LOVE with My Mind's Eye new releases and used one of them on my layout for Emma's Paperie and the new layout challenge on the My Mind's Eye blog.
I was recently going through photos of a trip we took to Living History Farms this past fall and this one stood out at me. I love the country church with the girls and me walking towards it. I enlarged the photo quite a bit and then placed a little vellum behind the photo for softness.
My journaling: There's something so peaceful, so serene about a country church. There's importance in tradition. There's beauty in hymns - Amazing Grace, How Great Thou Art. There are Biblical stories told on stained glass. While I love the modern feel of the church we go to now, there's a part of me that feels a little bit closer to God at a country church.
A little clustering here and there...my favorite way to embellish!

Pebbles: Hello Spring!
Oh, yes! Hello spring! Glorious, sun-shiny spring! Pretty flowers, pastel colors and a light breeze. Pretty perfect if you ask me! I have a couple of quick and easy cards to share with you today that were on the Pebbles blog last week for spring theme week. I created a duo of monochromatic cards using the New Addition Boy and Girl collections.
A quick tip: I had already used my pink bird sticker on another project so I simply covered the center of this sticker with vellum and placed my rub-on and stickers directly on the vellum. It covers up what is in the middle of the sticker without changing the look.

More to come soon! I'm busy, busy, busy today cleaning and sorting through clothes and shoes for the spring Mom's of Multiples garage sale. Lots of work but it helps our budget each season!
Have a beautiful day! :)

Please stop by and say hello if you want to learn a little more about me...ha! ;) I'm sharing another Simple Stories layout today using their beautiful Christmas collection. Webster's Pages: That Pout
Good morning! Today I have a layout to share with you using the new "Everyday Poetry" collection at Webster's Pages and a perfect pout from Miss Lily. I created this layout based on this image I found at Pinterest. I sometimes come across design ideas that would make the perfect layouts and this was one such idea.
I punched several starburst circles from vellum for a little soft texture and then added tiny punched butterflies to them. The centers of the patterned paper are Webster's Pages sparklers.
Be sure to stop by the Webster's Pages blog this week to check out a lot of inspiration from the design team. It's "Shipping Party Week"! I'll also be stopping by the movie premiere and chat on Inspire Me tomorrow night.
We're enjoying fantastic weather in Iowa this week! It was 80 yesterday and will be again today! We had to pull out the shorts! ;) We had picnics on the deck for lunch and dinner as well and got out the sidewalk chalk for a little fun. I also had to scramble and find clothes/shoes to fit...can't believe it's that time already!
Have a wonderful day! :)
I just love the variety of colors of alphabet stickers so I can combine them for titles. That pink trim? LOVE! And the rhinestones add a touch of bling.

Emma's Paperie: Playful Girls
The designers at Emma's Paperie are spotlighting Kaisercraft products so today I have a layout to share using the "Miss Nelly" collection. I just love the bright, fun colors and I paired them with a grey neutral (which I seem to be using a lot of lately!) I love this photo of the girls mid-run at my mom and dad's this summer.
I love Kaisercraft's wood products and I used part of a large wooden doily on this layout. I cut it up a little bit so I can use some of it on another project. It wasn't exactly the easiest to cut up but I made it work. The white doily is by Martha Stewart and then I punched a doily border strip and and cut part of it out to go in the center of the doily.
For a complete supply list, please visit the Emma's Paperie blog here.
We had a fairly uneventful weekend...a little cleaning, a little shopping and a lot of relaxation! Just how I like them!

Sweet & Simple Cards
Happy Friday! Today I have a couple cards to share with you. The first one was for a sketch challenge at Emma's Paperie using the beautiful "Farmhouse" collection by October Afternoon. For a complete supply list, visit the Emma's Paperie blog here.
And this card was created using the "Palm Beach" collection by Webster's Pages. I simply cannot wait for summer! We're having temps in the 70s here next week and I am so excited for warm weather. Not that I can really complain...this was one of the most mild winters we have ever had!
That's all for today! I am very excited for one of my sisters to be coming this weekend to hang out with us while Glen goes out of town for a night. And for a little movie date (at home) with my hubby tonight!
Have a great weekend! :)

Webster's Pages: The Joys of Girls Mini Album
This week on the Webster's Pages blog, we are spotlighting "Mini Album Madness". Today I have a teeny tiny brag book to share with you using the "Sunday Picnic" collection. The mini album is an older 4" Jenni Bowlin album I had in my stash. I chose to create a brag book of some of my favorite photos of the girls from last spring. A brag book is such a fun project to create for grandma or other family members. I also have a little technique to share using my latest obsession - vellum!
For the cover, I punched some shapes - a doily, a starburst and some butterflies in a variety of sizes.
Then I traced the cover of the album on a sheet of vellum, cut it out and machine stitched the vellum to the cover with the punched shapes trapped beneath.
Here's a close-up of the finished cover. I love the subtle color and texture with the vellum and punched shapes.
I kept the rest of the design of the album pages very simple using punches (I picked up a couple new doily punches recently that I LOVE - Martha Stewart and EK Success at JoAnn's).
Thanks for looking today! :)

Webster's Pages: Synchronized Snow Angels
Today I have a layout to share with you using the "Sunday Picnic" collection on a snow themed layout. Yes, you heard right - SNOW! The girls have really bright winter coats and snow pants this year so I wanted to bring those colors out with the collection.
The very talented Carol Monson is our guest designer this month and this page was inspired by her beautiful clean and simple, whimsical style. She adds great details to her work!
Like most things in their lives, the girls were completely in synch while make their snow angels - hence the title of the layout. ;) I also wanted to tone down the green/blue in the rainbow paper so I simply white-washed it with white paint and a foam brush.
This winter I picked up the Martha Stewart snowflake anywhere punch and used it in a few spots on this layout and then backed the punched snowflakes with patterned paper and cardstock. The largest snowflakes were then accented with Webster's Pages rhinestones.
You can check out Carol's work and see how the rest of the design team was inspired by her by visiting the Webster's Pages Inspire Me page. Thanks for looking today! :)

Webster's Pages: Cheers to a Sweet Treat
Happy Monday, friends! Thanks for all the well wishes on the Simple Stories Design Team! Today I have another layout to share using a couple new collections by Webster's Pages - "Sunday Picnic" and "Everyday Poetry".
Just look at these two monkeys! They certainly have a sweet tooth and with their food allergies, they are somewhat limited to what they can have. Their number one requested treat? A lollipop or sucker (as they call them)!
I wanted to add a little grey to the layout because the girls' dresses had grey in them so all I did was put the layout on a grey background and then I punched a couple squares from patterned paper by American Crafts. It's just a couple of very small details that helped give me the look I wanted. All of the other patterned papers are by Webster's Pages. I am in LOVE with the little pearl embellishments by Webster's. They actually come in strips but I cut the strip into a couple sections to add to my patterned paper squares.
Despite me having a fairly simple style anyway, I would consider this particular layout very much on the simple side. And I love the outcome! But I won't tell you how long I moved around those patterned paper squares in various combinations until I found something I really liked. ;)

Simple Stories Design Team!
I had a blog post already to go this morning but I'll save that for another day so I can share some exciting news! I'm a new member of the Simple Stories Design Team! I have been a fan of Simple Stories since the very beginning. I love their collections and patterned papers. And I absolutely love how simple and easy it is to create with their products! They make scrapbooking attainable for anyone! For the announcement of the entire team, visit the Simple Stories blog here.
I have a couple layouts using their products that I want to share today. The first one is using the "Life Documented" collection. Cutie Miss Nora on a pony ride!
And this layout features their "100 Days of Summer" collection that has quite possibly my very favorite piece of patterned paper ever (the one with the circles). Love these photos of the girls from late last summer!
Thanks for letting me share my news! I'm so excited to work with their new collections!
Have a great weekend!
